Wildlifes - Air Quality & Action Levels

Tracking the Air Quality Index (AQI) during wildfire season helps people understand how clean or unhealthy the air is and what health effects might be a concern. Wildfires can have a severe impact on air quality and human health, and smoke can travel hundreds of miles, so people can be affected even if they're not near an active fire. Cal Poly has developed the Smoke/Air Pollution Annex to provide background information on the AQI, where to locate current conditions, and actions to take dependent on levels observed during the fire season.
